Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his nightly address to the nation on Monday that his team is working to create conditions for "proper" diplomacy for the war to end as soon as possible with a "decent peace."
"We need peace – real, fair peace – not endless war," Zelensky stated.
The president reiterated Ukraine needs security guarantees, arguing that the lack of them led to Russia's occupation of Crimea, the war in Donbas, the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, and its continuation.
