US announces $440 million in new aid to boost reconstruction of Ukraine, support agri-exports

The US government announced more than $400 million in new aid for Ukraine to help train workers for reconstruction-related jobs, rebuild transport infrastructure, boost export-oriented agriculture, and prepare private-public partnerships.

Richard Verma, the US special envoy for the reconstruction of Ukraine, said the largest portion of the aid, $223 million, will go toward the reconstruction of transportation infrastructure and logistics, with an eye toward increasing exports from the agricultural sector.
