Ukrainian oil and gas company Naftogaz said on Tuesday it has agreed to buy an additional 100 million cubic meters (mcm) of liquified natural gas (LNG) from Polish energy firm Orlen for strategic gas reserves ahead of the next heating season.
"Cooperation with Orlen expands Ukraine's LNG import capacity and enhances energy security. We are diversifying supply sources to ensure a reliable and accessible gas supply, especially amid ongoing Russian attacks on our infrastructure," said Naftogaz acting Board Chairman Roman Chumak.
