A German-supported program to teach Ukrainians skills needed to rebuild their country has finished training 1,200 people and plans to raise that number to 2,000 by the end of the year, Ukraine's Economy Ministry said.
The Skills4Recovery program, administered by the German state-run Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, is training Ukrainian in 23 professions vital to the reconstruction, particularly in areas such as construction, logistics, agriculture and IT, according to a ministry statement.
