Peikko Group, a Finland-based global supplier of construction industry solutions, will build a factory and warehouse in the central Ukrainian city of Bila Tserkva in preparation for an expected surge in demand for the reconstruction of Ukraine.
The group, which supplies concrete connections and slim floor structures worldwide, plans to build the facilities, which will cover 2,400 square meters, by the end of the year and start operations in the first quarter of 2025.
It said the factory, in the Bila Tserkva Industrial Park 90 km south of Kyiv, will start by manufacturing precast connections as well as its Durabeam composite beams and floor joints for industrial buildings.
The city's "centric location with close access to the railway, motorway, and seaports allows for an ideal way to serve Peikko’s customers throughout Ukraine," the company said in a press release.
"The new premises are estimated to be operational at the beginning of 2025, and new recruitments are planned to start later this year."
