The European Union (EU) will provide a further €10 million to support independent media in Ukraine, building on the €37 million the bloc has already allocated in grant funding since the start of the Russian full-scale invasion in 2022.
"Since Russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine, local journalists have shown relentless bravery, risking everything to report the truth from the front lines. Their work doesn't just inform—it holds power to account and remains crucial in Ukraine's path to the European Union," said Katarína Mathernová, EU Ambassador to Ukraine.
