The European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Commission (EC) on Thursday signed a guarantee agreement that will allow the EIB to invest at least €2 billion in urgent recovery and reconstruction projects in Ukraine.
The funding is part of the European Union's €50 billion Ukraine Facility, the block's financial assistance program for the country, for the period 2024-2027.
The funds will support public sector operations across key industries, with a focus on enhancing Ukraine's energy infrastructure, the EIB said in a press release.
