The outgoing Biden administration in the US is making a last push to seize hundreds of billions of dollars in frozen Russian assets to use as leverage in future negotiations for peace in Ukraine, two unnamed senior administration officials said.
One official said that seizing Russian assets would send a simple message to Moscow: "If you want your money back, you’re going to have to come talk."
